Canadian violinist CRYSTAL YE has performed numerous recitals and concerts in Canada, the USA, China, Singapore, and Indonesia. In 2002 she made her debut at New York’s Carnegie/Weill Hall. Ms. Ye has appeared as soloist with the China Film Orchestra, China National Ballet Orchestra, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, among others. Since 2009, Ms. Ye has been a concertmaster of the Kindred Spirits Orchestra.
As an orchestral musician, Crystal Ye was appointed Principal Violin of the China National Ballet Orchestra at the age of 22, the youngest principal ever in the history of the orchestra. She was also a concertmaster of the Philharmonia Orchestra of the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra and of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
Crystal Ye won the 2nd prize at the Tianjin Violin Competition, as well numerous prizes at the China National Violin Competition. Ms. Ye has earned a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Music degree from Central Conservatory of Music.
