Every year, the City of Markham hosts its annual Gala for Giving – a large-scale special event that has for a goal raising the awareness and helping charitable organisations based in York Region.

Last year, the event was attended by close to 1,000 people and raised approximately $250,000, which helped 12 charities to continue developing their community outreach, educational and social programs. This year, the Kindred Spirits Orchestra was invited to this prestigious event again, together with 11 other organisations.

The City of Markham’s annual charity fundraiser will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Le Parc Banquet Centre (located at 8432 Leslie St, at HWY 7). The evening includes a reception at 6:00 p.m., a 3-course dinner at 7:00 p.m., a silent auction, a live auction, raffles, table prizes and many performances of light classical music, jazz, dance, etc. This year, we are expecting 1,200 guests to attend the Gala – senior executives from many of the largest corporations in Canada, avid supporters of the arts, education, community outreach programmes and social services as well as City of Markham’s Councillors, the Mayor of Markham and other dignitaries.

Dong XuTickets for this exciting event are $125 per person and are available through the Kindred Spirits Orchestra. For each ticket, we can issue a charitable donation receipt in the amount of $85. There are many additional opportunities to feature your company at the Gala – through various levels sponsorships, advertisings in the program, showing a 60-sec promotional video clip, participating in the Media Conference at Markham’s City Hall, receiving complimentary tickets etc. A charitable donation receipt for the entire amount of your sponsorship can be issued as well. All payments can be done by cash, by cheque or by a credit card.

Dinner includes rolls, mixed greens salad, pasta, chicken (or a vegetarian option), sorbet, coffee/tea/espresso, soft drinks. Cash bar.
