Performing Opportunities

The Kindred Spirits Orchestra regularly auditions advanced students, and invites selected candidates to perform a solo concerto with the orchestra, during rehearsals. Through collaboration with several music teachers and the Young Artist Performance Academy at the Royal Conservatory of Music, the Kindred Spirits Orchestra provides young musicians with opportunities to further develop their performing skills and musicianship.

On February 14, 2017, Ron Galaev (17 y.o.) performed Schumann’s Concerto for cello and orchestra with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra.

On April 21, 2015, Bijon Li (14 y.o.) performed Elgars' Concerto for cello and orchestra with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra.

On June 10, 2014, Yiyang Gao (16 y.o.) performed Saint-Saëns' Concerto for violin and orchestra No. 3 with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra.

On April 24, 2014, Leonid Nediak (10 y.o.) performed Chopin's Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 1 with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra during Markham's annual Gala for Giving.

On July 2, 2013, Gligor Djogo (17 y.o.) performed Mozart's Concerto for clarinet and orchestra with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra.

On October 8, 2012, Jimmy Zhang (19 y.o.) and Carole Wei (16 y.o.) performed Mendelssohn's Concerto for violin and orchestra with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra.

On April 11, 2011, Christopher Yeung (10 y.o.) performed Mozart's Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 24 in c-minor, K. 491 with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra.

On January 25, 2010, Daniel Temnik (14 y.o.) performed Mozart's Concerto for violin and orchestra No. 4 in D, K. 218 with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra.
