IN SINISTRIS MANIBUS
Concert Season Opening Gala

October 30, 2021 at 8 p.m. (EST)

Richmond Hill Centre | 10268 Yonge St, Richmond Hill

Dong Xu

Join the Kindred Spirits Orchestra in celebrating the opening concert of the season featuring music that conveys the deepest of emotions. French composer Paul Dukas calls the audience to attention with his Fanfare introduction to the Persian inspired “poème dansé”, La Péri.  Pianist Dong Xu returns to the limelight to perform a stunning rare work for the left hand alone: Piano Concerto No. 4 by Sergei Prokofiev. Written during the turmoil of the Second World War, Symphony in Three Movements by Stravinsky paints the composer’s cinematic impression of conflict and battle.
