Dying a mere three days after the opera’s premiere, Bizet’s Carmen is a tragic tale of love, seduction and jealousy; the suite showcases the unforgettable arias from this alluring opera. Internationally renowned Canadian pianist Maxim Bernard sheds light on Ravel’s colourful and brightly jazz-influenced Concerto for piano and orchestra in G major.
